Hi, I’m Kevin and this is my blog.

I am a fencing coach at Davis Fencing Academy, the Epee coach for the UC Davis Fencing Club, and an historical fencer. I holdĀ  a Provost at Arms certificate from the San Jose State Fencing Masters Program. My fencing life is wide and varied. My focus is on modern and classical Epee and historical rapier (focusing early 17th century Italian rapier). I have also dabbled in classical foil and saber; modern foil; 15th century longsword, dagger, and grappling (Fiore); English single stick; Iberian greatsword; Aikido; and numerous other rapier authors.

This blog contains my musings on historical fencing, and a record of private lesssons given to my students.
